Last summer, when Katie was out visiting, we spent a Saturday estate saling. At one of the houses, I found this vintage wallpaper in the back of the garage. We both bought some for a whole 50 cents and it has been sitting in my garage ever since. Also, sometime last summer I bought this big frame, with no glass at a garage sale. After seeing this on Pinterest, I've had this project in the back of my mind for a while and finally did it yesterday. The original post is from apartmenttherapy.com.
I bought Aleene's Crystal Clear Tacky Spray.
And then cut out the wallpaper and cardboard to fit the frame.
And then I started to spray. I had never used spray adhesive and underestimated it's power!
Whoops. My wallpaper accidentally brushed the adhesive covered cardboard and there was no unsticking it. To get it off, I had to rip it to pieces.
And then I thought it out better. Luckily, because the paper was already rolled, it stayed rolled as I attached just the top first. And then I rolled it down carefully and pressed as I rolled.
Isn't it great wallpaper?
And then I spray painted the picture frame a glossy black. It's a pretty big frame, 28"x38".
And then because I'm fancy, I taped it into the frame with packaging tape. The duct tape was no where to be found.
Ta Da! I Love it!
